Town Center Bank Turns Things Over to Young Banker
For the third consecutive year, Town Center Bank is proud to host a local youth as a “banker for a day”. With the success of our student banker for a day program over the past several years last year, Town Center Bank once again donated a gift certificate for the annual Town Center Elementary Spring Fling silent auction. The certificates entitled the winning bidders to be “banker for the day”. Our winner, Mr. Rocky Khoshbin, took the reigns for a day and spent his time running the drive thru, working a teller window, attending staff meeting, and mastering our state-of-the-art bank processing software. -

Once again this summer, Town Center Bank turned things over to young bankers. With the huge success of our student banker for the day last year, Town Center Bank donated two gift certificates for the annual Town Center Elementary Spring Fling silent auction. The certificates entitled the two winning bidders to be “bankers for the day”. Mr. Stephen Kerpon took the reigns on Friday, June 8 followed by Mr. Luke Conlon who ran things on June 15. Both young executives spent their days running the drive thru, working teller windows, checking the ATM machine operations, counting money, helping out in the marketing department and spending time with Mr. Ed Thomas, president of Town Center Bank. Each attended the weekly staff meeting and met the TCB staff. They ended their day with a lunch of their choice.
Thank you to Mr. Kerpon and Mr. Conlon for their eagerness to learn and friendly personalities. What great bankers you will make one day. The staff at Town Center Bank says thank you for a great job and hope you had fun. - Town Center Bank Named "Business of the Year" by the Coppell Chamber of Commerce
Town Center Bank was recently named Business of the Year. On March 21, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce honored Town Center Bank with the Corporate Business of the Year award for 2006-2007. The chamber cited reason such as growing from $22 million in assets in 2005 to $39 million in 2006 and reaching an astonishing $52 million in March of 2007. The bank has grown from an original staff of five employees to a current ten full time and four part time bank staff members. The chamber also recognized Town Center Bank for playing such an active role in supporting the Coppell community. Town Center Bank is the volunteer bank for the annual Coppell Relay for Life, offers bank at school programs at both Lee and Town Center Elementary, is a host to a slue of events; everything from the Coppell Texas Exe’s freshman send off, Dallas Athletes receptions, bank tours for girl scout troops and schools, and works hard to support the fund raising efforts of most Coppell school organizations and PTO’s. Town Center Bank loves its community and says “Thank you Coppell”, for helping us grow and achieve such amazing success. - Town Center Bank is Getting Fit
The Town Center Bank staff has been busy since early January getting fit. Kristy Rowland, the Teller Supervisor, presented the staff with a new year’s resolution, to get in shape. So with the help of Express Fitness, we are well on our way. We decided that if we all participated, chances of keeping our resolution would be better. Not only do we not have to go to the gym alone, we can motivate and support one another. So far, it’s been a lot of fun and a chance to spend time outside the office with our co workers is building a stronger team at the bank. We are working hard to keep our new years resolution at Town Center Bank and wish all of our customers the same. Good luck customers and Happy New Year!!!!!
- Bank at School Program now in Full Swing
Since the opening of Town Center Bank in the fall of 2004, we have been actively encouraging children to begin saving early. Town Center Bank currently has two bank at school programs running with hopes of more in the future. Bank of Lee at Lee Elementary currently has over 65 student customers, and Texan Town Bank at Town Center Elementary has 110. Each school holds a banking day in their make shift banks that are actually quite impressive- Thursdays at Lee and Fridays at Town Center. On banking day, the children work as tellers taking deposits, counting money and issuing receipts. A representative from the school in turn brings the deposits to Town Center Bank for final deposit into their individual savings accounts. To make things even more fun, Town Center Bank holds monthly drawings for all student depositors and the winner receives $5.00 deposited into their account.
Town Center Bank proudly offers youth savings accounts free of charge. So even if your child doesn’t have a bank at school program in their school, we would still love to have the young savers business!
